David Stevenson

Left to start Bsc (Mech Eng) at Plymouth Polytechnic in 1971. At the end of the first year I was due to sail for 6 months with B & C as part of the sandwich degree but when contacting Joe Mabbett (Cayzer House) was told that as many of the ships had been sold no berths were available.

Ended up sailing as 4th Engineer with Denholms on their liquid sulphur tanker Naess Texas.

Since then I have never met any ex B & C cadets or engineers but there may be some still around that remember me.

After graduation I worked for Blandford Shipping in London (Fred Olsen Group) finishing as Chief Engineer and later Engineer Superintendent.

Later worked as Engineer Surveyor with LR, Brook’s Bell and 20 years in Cyprus as Engineer Superintendent.

Now long retired but seem to be doing more than before with motor bikes, houses and woodwork. Now living in Shipley.

If you would like to contact David his email is  on this link.
