This photograph, taken on 11th August 1892, shows the SS Clan Murray leaving Buffalo Harbour, East London.

At anchor in the roadstead is the Dunbar Castle.

This print came into the possession of the Union-Castle Office at East London when an old house was sold up and in view of the merger is of particular interest as it is possibly one of the oldest prints in existance depicting ships of both lines.
