A little rundown of my life.

I first joined UCL on7 June 1962 as 4R/O on the Edinburgh Castle and left after signing off from the SA Vaal on 26 Aug 1968.

In the interim served on the Pendennis, Roxburgh, Stirling, Kenilworth, Rhodesia, Reina del Mar, Capetown, Kenya Castles.

Met my wife on board the Reina when she was a Purserette (Maureen Fisher) and got married in 67. Just had our 56th Anniversary.

Joined the Diplomatic Wireless Service and had a first posting to St Helena sailing to Cape Town on the Windsor and up to St Helena on the Good Hope. After an 18 month tour on the Island we left on the Southampton Castle. This being our final contact with U-CL.
