Ken must have left the Company c1958 because I was then on my first trip with a brand new 2nd Mate's ticket as Junior 4th on the "Winchester Castle". On board going out to Durban was Joy Williams, Ken's wife. Ken had then just joined the Harbour Service at Durban.
In 1964 when I to joined the Harbour Service in Durban Ken was by then tug master, I think he was master of the "A.M. Campbell" but cannot be sure. We were all shocked when Ken died very suddenly after a heart attack, this must have been c1967
